August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for benchmark oil grades are increasing in Monday trading after declining last week.

The price of Brent crude futures for October delivery on the ICE Futures exchange rose by $0.41 (0.52%) to $79.43 per barrel as of 09:14 AM. In the previous trading session on August 23, the October Brent oil futures had gained $1.80 (2.33%) to close at $79.02 per barrel.

Similarly, the price of WTI crude futures for October delivery on the NYMEX commodity exchange climbed $0.50 (0.67%) to $75.33 per barrel by 09:14 AM. During the August 23 trading, the October WTI oil futures appreciated by $1.82 (2.49%) to settle at $74.83 per barrel.

Despite the current upswing, Brent and WTI crude prices experienced a weekly decline of 0.83% and 0.94% respectively last week.
