August 6, Fineko/abc.az. The court handed down a verdict on the case of illegal oil production in Aktobe region.

ABC.AZ reports that "from February 2022 to May 2023, company's branch produced crude oil within the contract for Saigak field, while the contract expired. Despite this, the persons involved continued the illegal extraction and storage of oil at the field for a year."

The deputy general director of Saigak Kazakhstan B. V. branch appeared in the dock. According to the case file, he managed the field where illegal production was conducted. 3,500 tons of refined oil for 139 million tenge were seized in favor of the state. The defendant was sentenced to 3/5 years in prison.
