July 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2024, 10,392.6 tons of plastic bags were produced in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with the 1st half of 2023, production increased by 49.4%.

As of July 1, 2024, stocks of finished products amount to 477 tons.

According to the rule, which came into force on February 15, 2023, plastic bags in stores are paid. In retail outlets, plastic bags are sold for 1, 3, 5, 10 gapiks, depending on the size.
