July 11, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 6 months, the country produced 25.1 bcm of natural gas.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry of Energy that 6.5 bcm of gas were extracted from ACG, 14 bcm from Shah Deniz, 800 million cu m from Absheron, 3.8 bcm by SOCAR.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2023, gas production grew by about 1 bcm, that is, by 4.3%.

Gas sales abroad reached about 12.7 bcm (nearly 6% more agaisnt Jan-Jun 2023). Over Jan-Jun 2024, approx. 5 bcm of gas were sold to Türkiye, about 6.4 bcm to Europe, and 1.3 bcm to Georgia. 2.8 bcm of gas were supplied to Türkiye via TANAP.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields to July 1, 2024, about 639.6 million tons of oil (together with condensate) and 445.9 bcm of gas were produced . 593 million tons of oil and 222.9 bcm of gas were extracted from ACG. About 223 bcm of gas and about 46.6 million tons of condensate were produced from Shah Deniz. To date, about 637.6 million tons of oil (together with condensate) and close to 158.8 cm of gas have been exported from these fields.
