May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has dramatically increased exports of tanned cattle leather abroad this year, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the official statistics.

So, in the 1st quarter of 2024, the country exported 101,440 pieces of leather for $2.725 million (2-fold more than on an annual basis). Over 1st quarter of 2023, export reached 38,800 pieces for $996,700.

Türkiye accounts for the largest share (91%) of exports. In the previous year, only Türkiye imported leather from Azerbaijan.
