April 23, Fineko/abc.az. Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Tahir Mirkishili has proposed banning the use of electronic cigarettes in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that according to Committee’s chair, this type of cigarette is gradually being banned in many countries of the world.
According to a study conducted by Mirkishili, e-cigarettes are a "fashionable" type of smoking, widespread among young people, but in the future will lead to very serious complications:
"With your permission, we can do a little research with the Committee on Agrarian Policy. E-cigarettes are banned in most countries. There is no ban on them in Azerbaijan, and about 3 million disposable e-cigarettes are imported into the country during the year. If, from economic angle, this does not cause harm or other issues do not stand out, we can take the initiative on this issue."
