April 6, Fineko/abc.az. The premiums on voluntary medical insurance in Azerbaijan declined and compensation payments increased.

Over Jan-Feb 2024, the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 62.9 million manats (938,000 manats, or 3% less against Jan-Feb 2023 – 64.87 million manats), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

Payments on this type of insurance reached 14.256 million mantas (2.948 million manats or 26% more than a year earlier – 11.308 million manats).

The loss rate for Jan-Feb 2024 made up 23% (a rise of 5%) and for Jan-Feb 2023 - 18%.
