April 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran completed the 1st quarter of 2024 (Jan-Mar) with net profit of 2.49 million manats. The branch closed the relevant months of 2023 with net profit of 621,000 manats, which is 4-fold more than a year ago.

ABC.AZ reports that for Jan-Mar 2023, the net interest income of the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran reached 798,000 manats, and in 3 months of this year it increased to 1.15 million.

As of April 1, 2024, the assets of the Bank of Iran amounted to 114.827 million manats (6% less than at the end of last year). Of them, 3.203 million manats were loans to customers. Over the past 3 months, the loan portfolio of the Baku branch has decreased by 22%.

The bank's total liabilities totaled 71.18 million manats, total capital – 43.647 million manats, and accumulated loss – 29.964 million manats.
