Banks’ demand at foreign exchange auction increased by 3.5%

April 2, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), with the participation of the State Oil Fund, held a currency auction.

According to the CBA, at the currency auction on April 2, the demand of banks amounted to $97.9 million and was fully secured. This is $3.3 million (3.5%) more than at the last auction.

At a foreign exchange auction on March 28, the CBA sold $94.6 million to banks.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat was formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.
