March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 5 years, the amount of this allowance has increased 3.5-fold and reached 105 manats.

ABC.AZ reports that currently the number of women with 5 or more children receiving social benefits exceeds 2,600.

A proposal was made at Milli Majlis to replace the concept of having many children in Azerbaijan from 5 to 3 children. At a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor & Social Policy, MP Vugar Bayramov proposed to consider the matter of a large family:

"We propose to replace the concept of a large family with 5 to 3 children. The differential approach is very important in this area. If we reduce the model of a large family from 5 to 3, then 110,000 families will be able to use this right. That is, children living in 110,000 families will be able to receive social benefits."

Committee’s chairman Musa Guliyev added that it is necessary to reconsider the concept of a large family:

"We support this proposal. The concept of having many children should be reduced to 3 children out of 5. At that, the allowance provided to them should be taken into account. We are looking for ways to provide families with more child benefits."
