Azerbaijan starts selling olive oil to a European country

March 4, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan sold its olive oil to Spain in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that Spain bought a total of 264 tons of olive oil for $1.525 million.

Usually, Spain reimbursed part of the olive oil supplies to Azerbaijan. After the increase in olive production in the country, the flow direction has changed. The Spanish market is considered one of the main markets for olive oil consumption.

Last year, olive oil was exported from the country abroad for a total of 578.74 tons for $3.157 million.

Azerbaijan exported 186.6 tons of olive oil for $950,900 to Türkiye, 66,600 tons for $348,900 to the UAE.

Our country produced 1,160 tons of olive oil in 2023.
