January 22, Fineko/abc.az. Another batch of 306,000 eggs from Azerbaijan was imported in Russia, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor.

"On January 21, another batch of edible eggs from Azerbaijan in the amount of 18 tons (306,000 eggs) was imported through Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint for further sale in Russia. As of January 22, 3.3 million edible eggs were imported in Russia from Azerbaijan," the organization says.

According to Rosstat, chicken eggs in Russia in December 2023 rose in price by 61.35% versus 2022. At that, from January 10 to January 15, 2024, their prices fell by 0.2% compared with the previous week - for the first time since June 2023.
