December 22, Fineko/abc.az. Italy increased natural gas imports from Azerbaijan in October 2023 up to 881.2 million cu m, compared with 800.5 million cu m in September, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Eurostat.

This means an increase in the monthly calculation more than by 10%.

In the first 10 months of 2023, Italy imported 7.7 bcm of gas from Azerbaijan for 4 bn euro.

In October, the cost of natural gas imports from Azerbaijan in Italy reached 310.6 million euro versus 364.2 million euro in September, which means growth of about 17.3%.

In July 2022, Azerbaijan and the EU agreed to increase gas supplies through the Southern Gas Corridor from the current 10 bcm up to 20 bcm in 2027.
