December 14, Fineko/abc.az. Colombia is interested in exporting coffee, flowers and pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that newly-appointed Ambassador of Colombia to Azerbaijan Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala stated about this at a meeting with Yusif Abdullayev, the executive director of the Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).

During the meeting, Abdullayev informed the ambassador about the main activities of the Agency, including export promotion mechanisms, as well as investment opportunities of Azerbaijan.

The parties noted with satisfaction the existence of productive cooperation between AZPROMO and Colombian agency PROCOLOMBIA, which promotes the tourism sector, investments and non-traditional exports.

The ambassador, in his turn, spoke about the prospects of organizing the activities of Colombian companies in Azerbaijan. According to the diplomat, Colombia is interested in exporting coffee, flowers and pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan.

In this regard, an agreement was reached on further information exchange between the parties and support for AZPROMO's efforts to coordinate activities of entrepreneurs operating in Azerbaijan.
