For the past 10 months, 51.7% of money spent by customers on goods purchased in the retail chain accounted for foods, 4.2% for beverages and tobacco products, 14% for textiles, clothing and footwear, 5.5% for gasoline and diesel fuel, 4.9% for electrical goods and furniture, 2.2% for pharmaceutical and medical products, 1.1% for computers, telecommunications equipment and printed products, 16.4% for other non-food products.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the cost of goods sold by economic entities of the non-state sector increased in real terms by 3.4% compared with Jan-Oct 2022 and made up 99.7% of the total retail turnover.

This year, retail trade turnover has grown by 2.7% for enterprises in real terms, by 3.5% for individual entrepreneurs, by 3.9% for markets and fairs.

One person bought food products, beverages and tobacco products for 454.9 manats, non-food products for 254.5 manats on average per month in the retail trade network.
