November 15, Fineko/abc.az. Annual inflation in the UK in October fell to 4.6%, which is the lowest value in the last two years.
ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report of the UK National Statistical Service.
In August and September, inflation in the country in annual terms was at the level of 6.7%.
According to the statistical service, the reduction of the indicator was facilitated by the reduction of the upper limit of electricity prices set by the British regulator.
At the end of last year, inflation in the UK was 10.5%.
UK’s PM Rishi Sunak called halving this indicator by the end of 2023 one of the five main goals of the government. Thus, the British authorities managed to achieve the task.
