November 3, Fineko/abc.az. The introduction of new tariffs for parking vehicles from July 25 does not mean that the State intends to earn money from this.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov stated about this at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Legal Policy & State Building, Defense, Security & Anti-Corruption, International & Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Human Rights.

He added that the purpose of the fine is to prohibit any illegal activity in a certain form: "Certain measures are being taken against violators. The issue of parking is an integral part of broader concept. This concept serves to improve public transport."

The finance minister said this in response to the remark of MP Fazil Mustafa about parking.

Currently, signs installed by the Baku Transport Agency on streets and roads indicate that parking spaces belong to the state. That is, all existing street parking spaces equipped with appropriate road signs belong to the state. Decisions regarding the management of private and off-street parking spaces, tariffs and other rules can be made by the owner.
