November 2, Fineko/abc.az. Russian banks have installed terminals for payment with Mir card in Türkiye.

"The client conducts the transaction in the same way as in Russia — finances are debited in rubles. However, only Mir cards are accepted in this way. As a rule, terminals of Russian credit institutions are installed in places where there is a flow of our tourists. For example, in hotels, catering, souvenir shops, clothing stores, tour bureaus and pharmacies," Romanov said.

The Bank of Russia stated that they support market initiatives that allow citizens to pay abroad with non-cash funds. The described scheme has not yet started to be used en masse, but with further development it will allow Russian tourists to make the necessary payments abroad.
