October 30, Fineko/abc.az. An increase in the number of contactless payment cards has been recorded in Azerbaijan.

The total number of payment cards as of October 1, 2023 reached 11,967 cards, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

This means an increase of 2,547 cards (27%) year-on-year and 278,000 cards (2.4%) month-on-month.

So, as of October 1, 2022, the number of contactless payment cards reached 11,689 cards, as of September 1 of this year — 9,420 cards.
