October 27, Fineko/abc.az. The banks and non-bank credit organizations operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave loans for totally AZN 294.3 million for Jan-Sept 2023 (38.2% more versus Jan-Sept 2022).

ABC.AZ reports that NAR Central Bank’s chairman of board Elchin Aliyev said that 35.4% of the loans given or AZN 104.3 million (+2.8-fold) are aimed at developing the real sector in the region.

He added that currently there are 18 branches of 7 banks, 2 branches of 7 banks, 2 NBCOs and one credit union in Nakhchivan.

In addition, 6 insurance companies are represented in the NAR.
