Lending to real sector in Nakhchivan grew more than by 35%

October 26, Fineko/abc.az. 35.4% or AZN 104.3 million of loans given by banks and other credit organizations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for Jan-Sept 2023 were directed for development of the real sector in the region.

ABC.AZ reports that NAR Central Bank’s chairman of board Elchin Aliyev said about this at an event with the participation of entrepreneurs.

He added that this is 2.8-fold more against Jan-Sept 2022.

Aliyev noted that over the past period of this year, banks and other credit organizations operating in the region have given loans for totally AZN 294.344 million: "This is 38.2% more versus Jan-Sept 2022. Of course, these growth indicators contributed to the fact that banks financed the economy."

Currently, there are 18 branches of seven banks in Nakhchivan, two branches of seven banks, two non-bank credit organizations and one credit union.
