October 25, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 9 months the number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled abroad increased by 25% versus Jan-Sept 2022 and reached 1,384,800 people.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee that the number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who went to Russia, Georgia, and Türkiye grew by 49.5 %, 31.7%, and 17.5% respectively, and to Iran decreased by 17%.

Some 44.6% of the country's citizens visited Türkiye, 21.2% - the Russian Federation, 9% - Georgia, 7.4% - Iran, and 17.8% - other countries. 65% of those were men, and 35% were women.

68.6% of the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited foreign countries by air, 28.9% by rail and car, and 2.5% by sea.
