October 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 9 months of this year, the Agricultural Insurance Fund paid a total of AZN 1.408 million to farmers and farms. Of them, AZN 783,800 were allocated for crop production and AZN 624,500 for animal husbandry.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Fund’s financial statements that hundreds of insurance cases were registered in 24 regions in 9 months on crop production areas - grain and cotton fields, orchards and other crops.

Most of the payments were made on cotton, barley and wheat fields. Cases were also recorded in forests and cornfields, the damage was compensated.

The largest volume of insurance payments was made in Aghdam, Sheki, Aghjabedi, Yevlakh, Ismayilli, Shemakha, Zagatala, Geranboy, Barda and other regions.
In addition, 131 cases were registered on livestock farms, insurance payments were made on 138 heads of animals that died or were given for forced slaughter.
