Minister: Export of oil and gas products exceeds $3 bn first time in last 20 years

October 16, Fineko/abc.az.  As a result of the successful implementation of the president's strategic development course, Azerbaijan has joined the group of high-middle-income countries over the past 20 years. Over the past period, the non-oil/gas economy has grown from $4 billion to $41 billion. Value added in strategic sectors, priority from the point of view of diversification, increased 4.7 times in the non-oil gas industry, 19 times in tourism, 23 times in the field of information and communications, 5 times in the transport sector.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov stated about this during his speech at conference "20 years of unparalleled service to the Motherland, people & statehood" in Baku.

The minister noted that over the past 20 years, the export of oil and gas products has grown 12-fold and for the first time since independence exceeded $3 billion.
