October 6, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, the share of reinsurance in insurance premiums remained unchanged and made up 9.7% versus Jan-Jun 2022.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to Central Bank's financial stability report for the past half of 2023.

The main drivers of the low share of the reinsurance amount in insurance premiums were both an increase in the share of life insurance premiums in the total amount of insurance premiums, and a low level of transfer to the reinsurer of insurance classes with a high market share for non-life insurance.

The transfer of Class 5 insurance risks to the reinsurer, which covers about 87% of non-life insurance premiums, is not high.
