September 20, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has kept the discount rate at 9%.

ABC.AZ reports that the CBA press release notes that the lower threshold of the interest rate corridor is maintained at 7.5% and the upper one is 10%.

The decision to keep the discount rate at 9% was made taking into account the conducted macroeconomic analyses, updated forecasts, changes in the factors of internal and external inflation and the balance of risks.

The CBA keeps the discount rate unchanged for the third meeting in a row.

Prior to that, the bank raised the discount rate five times in a row - each time by 25 bps: the last time the CBA raised the discount rate from May 4, 2023 - by 25 bps - to 9%.

The next time the Central Bank will discuss the issue of the discount rate on November 1.
