Compared with the previous month, this August’s largest decline in food prices was recorded on buckwheat, flour, bread, fresh fish, eggs, table margarine, butter, sunflower and corn oils, grapes, melon, watermelons, plums, apples, pears, bananas, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, potatoes, peppers, eggplants, carrots, the rise in price affected rice, beef and lamb, yogurt, sour cream, olive oil, cabbage, garlic, sugar, tea, juices, vodka, tobacco products. No significant changes were registered on prices of other food products, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.
The CPI for non-food products last month was 100% compared with the previous month and 108.3% compared with August 2022.
The CPI for paid services to the population made up 100.1% versus July 2023 and 108.9% against August 2022.
