September 6, Fineko/abc.az. Georgian low-cost airline Georgia Wings starts operating flights via Tbilisi-Baku route from September 6.
The Ministry of Digital Development & Transport of Azerbaijan informs that Georgia Wings will perform its first flight via Tbilisi-Baku route on September 6.
"In general, the airline will operate regular flights in this direction three times a week - on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays," the Ministry says.
Flights will be carried out on ATR72-500 aircraft designed for 72 people.
Taking into account Georgia Wings, the number of low-budget foreign airlines operating flights to Heydar Aliyev International Airport has reached 16.
"This year, WizzAir Malta, Flyadeal, Air Cairo, and now Georgia Wings have been added to them at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport of Azerbaijan," the Ministry informs.
The Ministry adds that in the near future, such airlines as IndiGo (India), Aegean Airlines (Greece) and Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (UAE) will begin flying to the capital of Azerbaijan.
