September 4, Fineko/abc.az. An experiment will be conducted in Germany to reduce the working week to four days with salary retention, and the result will be evaluated by consulting company Intraprenör and scientists from the University of Munster, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Intraprenör.

The study is to cover over 50 companies from various industries. From September 1, organizations can apply for participation in the experiment. From February 1, the participating companies will switch to a four-day working week for six months, while the salaries of employees will remain the same.

Intraprenör will help companies choose suitable working time models. There is no single model for all companies and employees.

The first results of the German pilot project are expected in May. The publication of the final report is scheduled for October. The pilot project is funded by the companies themselves, and the amount of contributions depends on the size of the company. State financing has not yet been stipulated.

The experiment is aimed at finding out whether employees who work four days a week instead of five are more satisfied with their lives and feel healthier, go to doctors less often, and productivity remains the same.

The project is supported by non-profit organization 4 Day Week, which has conducted similar experiments in other countries, for example in the UK.
