S&P upgrades Armenia's rating

August 28, Fineko/abc.az. The international rating agency Standard & Poor`s Global Ratings has raised the long-term credit ratings of Armenia in foreign and national currencies from "B+" to "BB-", the outlook is "stable".

"Armenia's GDP growth, as well as its financial and foreign trade performance, were already improving before the (Russian-Ukrainian - IF) conflict, and we believe that real GDP growth will remain relatively high over the next few years. In this regard, we have increased long-term sovereign credit ratings of Armenia from "B+" to "BB-" The outlook is "stable," the statement said.

S&P also affirmed Armenia's short-term foreign and national currency sovereign credit ratings at 'B' with a 'stable' outlook.
