August 23, Fineko/abc.az. The value of the euro against the dollar began to fall after the publication of insignificant data on business activity in the euro area.

ABC.AZ reports that as of 15:20 Baku time, the euro exchange rate against the dollar decreased by 0.32% to $1.0809.

And the dollar index - the exchange rate against a basket of currencies of six US trading partners - rose by 0.27% 103.85 points.

The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in the manufacturing and services sector of the euro area fell from 48.6 points in July to 47 points in August, which is the lowest in three years. The forecast was 48.5 points.
