August 2, Fineko/abc.az. The debtor's bank account and his property in custody may be seized in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the amendment to the Law on Execution, approved today by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the amendment, information on the presence of the debtor's property and account in custody in banks and other credit institutions, as well as on account balances, is received by the executor in accordance with the Law on Banks, and they (if available) will be seized in the amount and volume necessary for the execution of the enforcement document.
The contractor will be able to request information about the availability of accounts of the debtor legal entity in banks and other credit organizations from the tax authorities.
