July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Apple has a new structure that deals with artificial intelligence and the creation of large language models that underlie chat bots ChatGPT from OpenAI and Bard from Google.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Bloomberg that the structure was named Ajax, it was created in 2022. Some of the structure's developments have already been used to improve search, Siri voice assistant and maps.

Ajax is also working on developing its own chatbot, which some inside the company call Apple GPT.

However, only a part of employees with special access can use it, and the results of the bot's work cannot be used to create products intended for customers.

Right now, Apple has no plans to make the chatbot publicly available. Samsung and a number of other technology companies have the same approach: they created their internal ChatGPT counterparts out of concern about possible leaks of sensitive data in the case of using third-party products.
