July 12, Fineko/abc.az. The issue of opening land borders is one of the most discussed at the moment.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the land borders of Azerbaijan are still closed. Although some restrictions in the quarantine regime regarding the virus are lifted from time to time, the decision on land borders does not change for 3 years. But what steps will be taken in the near future in connection with the opening of borders?

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, MP Fazil Mustafa said:

"The borders are not expected to open in the near future. It's hard to explain why. Since the quarantine period has ended, it is possible that such steps are being taken for security reasons. In any case, it would be good to open the borders, because citizens are experiencing difficulties in this regard. This is especially important for patients, students and citizens with certain tourist purposes. Otherwise, there will be difficulties. I believe that taking measures in this direction would ease the situation of citizens."
