July 11, Fineko/abc.az. In June 2023, the foreign exchange reserves of the central bank of Türkiye increased from $98.5 bn up to $108.6 bn.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Turkish media that Turkish Finance & Treasury Minister Mehmet Shimshek wrote about this on Twitter.
He added that one of the main goals of the reform program is to improve the situation with international reserves.
"On May 26, central bank’s reserves amounted to $98.5 bn, and by June 30 they amounted to $108.6 bn. The net reserves increased by $14.2 bn. Such rapid growth of reserves inspires optimism," he wrote.
Shimshek stressed that the Ministry of Finance will continue to implement rational economic policy, as well as search for new sources of external injections to rapidly increase the reserves of the central bank.
