Banks’ demand at currency auction doubled

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, at the currency auction on July 11, the demand of banks amounted to $32.2 million and was fully secured ($16.5 million or 2.05-fold more than at the previous auction).

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat was formed at the level of AZN/USD 1.7000.

At the currency auction on July 6, the CBA sold $15.7 million to banks.
