Banks’ demand at currency auction grew by 94.6%

July 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, at the currency auction on July 4, the demand of banks amounted to $39.9 million and was fully secured ($19.4 million or 94.6% more than at the previous auction).

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat was formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.

The CBA sold $20.5 million to banks at a foreign exchange auction on June 22.
