June 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Bank of England raised the rate for the 13th time in a row, this time by 50 basis points (bp), to 5.00% per annum, bank’s website informs.
"At the meeting that ended on June 21, 2023, the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England voted by a majority of votes (seven to two) to raise the bank rate by 0.5 percentage points, to 5%. Two members preferred to keep the bank rate at 4.5%," the regulator said in a statement.
