June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, have attended the inauguration of Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park in Jabrayil district.

The territory along the Araz in the Eastern Zangezur Economic Region has mainly flat terrain and serves as an entrance gate in the southern direction of the region, which provides favorable conditions for the activities of the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park. The creation of an industrial park in an area favorable from angle of logistics opportunities is one of the main factors attracting the attention of investors. The park is located next to the highways and railways under construction, which will provide direct entry and exit from the territory to these main roads. These roads and railways will create new favorable opportunities for the transportation of goods from Azerbaijan to Türkiye and back along Zangezur corridor, as well as through the territory of Azerbaijan to Russia.
The Industrial Park covers an area of 200 hectares. The creation of a logistics & shopping center, warehouse complexes, wholesale and retail facilities, a fleet of heavy-duty vehicles, a customs point, a gas station, repair of automotive and other equipment, etc. have been identified as priority areas. Construction work in the Industrial Park is carried out in stages. The territory of the park is completely cleared of mines and ammunition. In order to ensure the convenience of employees and entrepreneurs operating in the Industrial Park, a mobile town has been erected.
The Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park, as well as other industrial parks operating in our country, creates a favorable investment environment for entrepreneurs. Thus, residents of the Industrial Park are provided with ready-made infrastructure at the expense of state funds (gas, light, water, sewerage, internal roads and railways, fiber optics, etc.). At the same time, residents are exempt from property tax, land tax, income tax or profit tax, value added tax and customs duties for 10 years from the date of registration when importing machinery, technological equipment and installations imported for production purposes. In addition, the Economic Zones Development Agency provides residents with all kinds of organizational support.

Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC, a joint venture of Russia and Azerbaijan, has established a technical service center on the 3-hectare area of the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” Industrial Park. The center will serve as a hub for trucks and agricultural machinery.
The center will provide professional maintenance of about 1,500 vehicles used in the occupation-liberated territories, as well as transit vehicles transporting goods and other equipment.
The center has a maintenance unit, a repair shop, a waiting room, a study room, a warehouse, a portal-type car wash and office premises. The repair shop will have sections for repair of engines and other units, electrical equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic installations, internal combustion engines.
There is also a hotel, a spare parts store and other service areas. In addition, mobile repair and maintenance teams will work in the center, which will allow on-site servicing of all equipment used in the territories liberated from occupation.
More than AZN 9.4 million out of total investment worth AZN 10.2 million has already been invested in the construction of the enterprise.
The beginning operation of the enterprise will simultaneously contribute to provision of employment.
