June 14, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 1.413 million tons of cement for Jan-May 2023.

Cement production grew by 0.1% against Jan-May 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to State Statistics Committee’s monthly report.

"In the field of construction materials production, the total cost of production for Jan-May 2023 amounted to AZN 402.2 million, a rise of 18.8% compared with Jan-May 2022. The production of construction gypsum grew 2.2-fold, lime by 56.2%, construction glass by 29.7%, concrete by 21.7%," the Committee says.

The rebar production decreased by 39.7% to 121,500 tons.

"In the branches of the metallurgical industry and the production of finished metal products for Jan-May 2023, output for AZN 425.9 million was produced, an increase of 9.7% was recorded in the production of finished metal products, and decrease of 37.9% in the production of metallurgical products. Over Jan-May 2023, the production of metal products in the manufacture of finished metal products increased by 92.2%, production of steel casting in the metallurgical industry decreased by 32.3%, and the production of fittings by 39.7%," the report says.
