May 17, Fineko/abc.az. By the decision of the Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan from May 16, 2023, the license of Günay Bank was canceled.

ABC.AZ reports that as of April 1, 2023, the total volume of deposits in Günay Bank is AZN 108.566 million.

Günay Bank is a member of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, and compensation for deposits of the population insured in this bank will be paid by the ADIF in accordance with the legislation.

According to bank’s reports submitted to the ADIF, at the end of Q1 of 2023, insured (compensated) deposits on the bank amounted to AZN 38.5 million.

The total volume of the bank's deposits totaled AZN 108.566 million. And since the volume of insured deposits is AZN 38.5 million, the fate of the rest AZN 70 million remains unclear.

The bank's liabilities to credit institutions reach AZN 90.104 million, and the bank must repay them first.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, Günay Bank’s assets amounted to AZN 274.274 million, while the total amount of liabilities – AZN 206.295 million.

As of April 1, 2023, the total capital of the bank was AZN 67.978 million, and the authorized capital – AZN 64.9 million.
