Banks’ loan portfolio increased 1.4% for March

May 3, Fineko/abc.az. In March, the loan portfolio of banks increased by 1.4%, or by AZN 281.2 million, to AZN 20.038 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that business loans made up 54.8% (AZN 10.97 bn), consumer loans 29.7% (AZN 5.94 bn) and mortgage loans 15.6% (AZN 3.12 bn).

According to CBA’s report, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio (including NBCOs and credit unions) decreased by 0.9 percentage points against March 2022 and made up 2.9%.

The structure of liabilities is dominated by the deposit portfolio (81.9% of the total liabilities or AZN 31.9 bn). 63.3% of the deposit portfolio (AZN 20.213 bn) are deposits of legal entities, 36.7% (AZN 11.719 bn) are deposits of individuals (with exception of deposits of individuals engaged in private entrepreneurship).
