April 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2023, legal entities’ deposits in banks amounted to AZN 22.279 bn. In the first 3 months of 2023, the deposits of legal entities in banks decreased by 10.2% or by AZN 2.65 bn to AZN 20.2 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that the recent study on the reduction of deposits of companies in banks has shown that legal entities’ deposit portfolio in 12 banks of Azerbaijan decreased by AZN 2.37 bn to AZN 12.189 bn and in 10 banks grew by AZN 237.8 million up to AZN 6.95 bn.

The largest decline in the deposit portfolio of legal entities was recorded on Muğanbank (-65%) and Bank Eurasia (-52%), and the largest increase – on AccessBank (+40%) and Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan (+33%).

Xalq Bank, BTB Bank and the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran did not disclose in the financial statements the volume of the deposit portfolio of legal entities.
