GünayBank’s interest income decreased by AZN 200,000

April 27, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2023, Günaybank's interest income totaled AZN 3.269 million (AZN 200,000 less versus Q1 of 2022).

ABC.AZ informs with reference to bank's report that as half of bank's loan portfolio is not functioning, interests on loans are also quite low - only AZN 2.1 million.

In the 1st quarter, Günay Bank's interest expenses amounted to AZN 2.7 million and non-interest income – AZN 2.2 million.

Bank’s non-interest expenses also increased slightly and approached AZN 2.5 million. Günay Bank paid its employees a salary of AZN 1.15 million for the quarter.

Günay Bank again earned AZN 860,000 on currency exchange in the quarter, or 9-fold more against Q1 of 2022.

As a result, by the end of the quarter, bank's net profit reached AZN 277,000 (2-fold less versus Q1 of 2022), when bank's net profit amounted to AZN 577,000.
