April 18, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 1, 2023, the assets of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) amounted to $53.437 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Fund that SOFAZ's assets grew by 9% in the first quarter of 2023.

SOFAZ budget revenues amounted to AZN 7.643 bn and expenditures AZN 1.584 bn for Jan-Mar 2023.

During the 1st quarter, the Fund received AZN 5.596 million from oil & gas agreements, including AZN 4.829 bn from the sale of oil and gas, AZN 765.3 million from bonus payments, AZN 800,000 from transit.

SOFAZ revenues from the management of finances totaled AZN 2.047 bn.

The Fund’s extra-budgetary income due to the difference caused by changes in exchange rates amounted to AZN 1.427 bn.
