April 18, Fineko/abc.az. China's economy surpassed expectations for growth in the 1st quarter of 2023, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Bureau of National Statistics of China.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, China's economy grew by 4.5% compared with the 2022 same period. Economists had expected the economy to grow by 4%.

In the 4th quarter of 2022, the growth was 2.9%.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, the country's GDP grew by 2.2% compared with Q4 of 2022.
