April 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Cabinet Ministers has been granted new powers.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the relevant decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Under the decree, a commission (headquarters) is being created, consisting of representatives of relevant governmental bodies, for the prompt and mutual implementation of measures to prevent a social emergency.

The procedure for the activities of the commission (headquarters) for the prevention of social emergencies will be determined by the Cabinet. Also, social emergency regime will be introduced by a regulatory legal act of the Cabinet Ministers throughout the territory or in certain places of Azerbaijan. A regulatory legal act on the introduction of a social emergency regime must be immediately published in the mass media, including officially published within a day.
