March 7, Fineko/abc.az. The situation is bleak from angle of investment per capita in the poorest districts of Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that the average amount of investments per capita in the country is 1,800 manats.
But in some districts and cities, this amount is dramatically different.
Thus, in Azerbaijan, investments per capita in 18 cities and districts exceed 1,000 manats. In the remaining 55 districts and cities, the amounts are lower. Investments per capita in 43 districts are below 500 manats. In 33 districts, investments per capita amount to less than 300 manats.
And in the poorest districts of Azerbaijan, in terms of investment per capita, this amount is usually less than 100 manats.
One of the 14 districts included in the list is Khojaly district, which is still under occupation – 18 manats per person. But, for example, in Gedabek district, the investment situation is not much different from Khojaly – 31 manats. In Yardymli, Goychay, Saatli and Lerik, the annual volume of investments per capita is less than 100 manats.
