February 14, Fineko/abc.az. Sweden is the only country in the European Union, whose economy will shrink by 2024, ABC.AZ reports, referring to European Commission’s analysts.

Sweden is considered the most problematic economy in Europe. It is linked with the sharp decline in the housing market, which led to the bankruptcy of hundreds of companies. According to the European Commission's forecast, Sweden's economy will shrink by 0.8% this year and grow by 1.2% in 2024.

Let's add that house prices in Sweden fell by 16% last year, which is the lowest level in the last 30 years. As a result, about 130 construction companies in the country went bankrupt.
