January 9, Fineko/abc.az. According to the new changes, for the first time since this year, financial assistance will be included in pensions and pensions of persons receiving additional care will be indexed.

ABC.AZ reports that MP and economist Vugar Bayramov wrote about this in his social network account.

He noted that the unified indexation system envisages an increase in the amount of pensions of all our citizens receiving labor pensions annually in January in accordance with the percentage increase in the average monthly salary for the previous year.

"In the first 10 months of last year, the average monthly nominal salary increased by 14.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This means that pensions will be indexed by about 15% in January of this year, if the current trend continues. Naturally, a more precise figure will be announced by the end of this month. Pensions will be indexed taking into account benefits. In 2022, pensioners were paid an allowance of 200 manats. This is 16.7 manats per month. For example, for citizens receiving a pension in the amount of 400 manats and financial assistance in the amount of 200 manats during the year, 416.7 manats (400+200/12) will be accepted from this month with an increase in the indexation percentage. This means that for a citizen receiving a pension of 400 manats, the pension will grow by about 62 manats," the MP noted.

Bayramov added that the official statistics on the growth of average monthly wages in 2022 will be known at the end of January, that's when the indexation will be carried out:

"Pension allowances are accrued from 1 January, but in February they will be paid together for 2 months. Thus, pensioners will receive a raise from next month. But the increase calculated for January will be added to the February pension."
